The Batish / Armstrong duo on WGVU-FM today -- Fractured Elisions

The August 5 session with Keshav Batish. Doug Pohorski's Acoustic Sound Shop Studio, San Jose.

Roughly two hours of duos in contrasting thematic structure were recorded, with no edits or overdubs. Remarkable balance between the two percussion instruments, with just partial isolation. The playbacks are reminiscent of 1970s-era recordings on SteepleChase. The Yamaha C7 is expertly maintained by a master concert technician.

Warm up: Albéniz, Granados, and Busoni -- 90 minutes ahead of the session. The ongoing studies in counterpoint.
